Eating Out
Faversham and the surrounding countryside are renowned for high quality places to eat. You can easily find a restaurant or pub to enjoy a fine lunch or evening meal, but here are some of our particular favourites.
Faversham
Try The Limes, Preston Street Faversham. ”Wholesomely home grown food“ - Pub Dining with 100% British Beef, Lamb and Pork. Fish delivered daily from Hythe landing beach. If Italian cuisine is your preference, The Posillipo has a full menu of your favourite Italian food ranging from pizza and pasta to more formal fish or meat dishes. For lovers of Mexican style cooking, then The Albion Taverna is for you. They serve a blend of Mexican and British cuisine.
The Villages
A mile from us (down Hopes Hill) is The Chequers Inn in the village of Doddington. The George Inn at Newnham A Mile from us (down Seed Road) Open :Wednesdays -Sundays (worth ringing to check Opening Times. The Carpenters Arms at Eastling. A short drive from Newnham village or an energetic walk along the local footpaths. The Bowl Inn at Stalisfield serves a wide variety of dishes and is only a 4 mile drive through our lanes towards Charing. One of our favorite places to eat is The Alma at Painters Forstal with delicious homemade dishes. Only about a 15 minite drive form Sandhurst Farm Forge. Good, honest pub food makes The Alma one of the best pubs in the Faversham area for a leisurely lunch or dinner. There are of course many other fine eating places in the area, take a look here to find out about some of them.
